PC: Marx aka Mudo

Page history last edited by JalalM 14 years, 5 months ago

Mudo

Mudo the Clown.  He never speaks but can produce a myriad of items from within his magic cloak.  He uses these to communicate often in silly ways.  He also has a small horn and slide flute he uses to punctuate things he is doing.  His behavior is very much Harpo Marx.

Lord Black Bottom

Lord Black Bottom Deathknight of Fear.  His Deathlord tried to follow a piece of First age Wisdom: All things fear him who feareth all things.  Of course he got it wrong, and now Black Bottom seeks to share his fearful fate with creation.  His real world inspiration was Monty Python.

W.C. Fields

Smoke and Mirrors, Guild Merchant, public commentator, and mortal hero of the upper class.

Son of the Noble politician Duke Sincere Deceit. Brother to the famous scavenger Lord Gaping Wallet.  He was inspired by Stephen Colbert and W.C. Fields.

The RatKnight was created on the fly when Zera demanded to see one of her children on stage.  This wise cracking champion of good, never hesitates to point out the foolishness of the Powers of the Threshold, be they mortal, mortally dangerous .  He engages in the observational humor of our modern stand-up comedy as well as old vaudeville word play.

Marx

Marxwell, the man behind the masks.  He bears a striking resemblance to Cynis Marx, the famous actor and comedy playwright, but since he died nearly 2 centuries ago, this must be purely coincidence.  Few outside Marxwell's closest friends learn his name, to the rest he is merely Mudo the clown, the name he is always billed under.

Recently, he has left the Loons. It has become unsafe for him to travel with them because of his dangerous habit of mocking powerful entities.  Of course this same habit makes him very popular and will be billed along side the Loons from time to time.

Performances

In the House of the Emissary (Earth 772)

It's All a Part of the Show (Uzumaqua Spiral, Earth 772)

The Queen Returns to Isus (Isus, Water 772)

Allies:

The clowns of the Comedy Troupe Panto's Loons, servants of the God Panto, raised Marx from a young age and taught him everything they know.

  • Arlecchino is the leader.  He is focused on daily concerns and tries to anchor the young Mudo. He is also a priest of Panto.
  • Il Dottore writes many of our more cultured jokes, or atleast he tries to. But he is a well meaning buffon as we all are.
  • Brighella is the dirties of the clowns. He often tries to handle the money, but Arlo would never let him. He is a rogue and a theif.

Patron:

Panto is the Terrestrial God of Clowns and Physical Comedy. He spends most of his time in the east.  In the first age he was a servant of Juno, Muse of Comedy, who is a high ranking member of the Division of Serenity.  If Marx has a slight physical resemblance to Juno this must be purely coincidence for Juno is obedient to Immaculate Laws regarding spirits.

Panolpy:

Panto has gifted Mudo with a coat that allows him to produce many humorous and impossible items.  Recently Mudo spent his life savings on a Broken Recorder of Resplendent Glories that cannot record and only has audio playback.  It's memory if full of nothing but comedic audio clips and gag sounds.
