PC: Karrus

Page history last edited by Scarbearer 15 years, 7 months ago

He is a tall man, standing well over six feet in height. Built of rough lines and coarse edges he possesses a ruggedly noble bearing that is complimented by a broad shouldered build that betrays and economy of grace and power. Dusky skin has been kissed by the sun and painted with gleaming silver tatoos that scrawl across his face, neck and upper arms in tribal knot designs. Judging from the pattern they probably cover his entire body. His shoulder-length, burgundy-black hair frames his ruggedly handsome face and piercing black eyes like a mane. Keeping his wild hair from his face is a head band of hardened leather studded with chips of obsidian. Attached at his temples are small antlers that jut forward only an inch away from his head and then curve back along his skull and extending five points upwards on either side, forming a crude crown. His square jaw is complimented by a full, neatly groomed moustache and beard that is just a slightly softer shade of burgundy than his unruly mane.

Completing his image as a barbarian prince are clothes that are of rugged but regal quality. Molded tightly to his muscular torso is a vest of brown leather. The soft, white fur lining is seen at the shoulders and collar. Provided by some rare beast no doubt. His forearms are wrapped in leather bracers that judging from the fur at the edges came from the same kind of animal as the vest. Wrapped around his slender waist is a hard leather girdle on the front of which an iconic image of an elk silhouetted by the half-moon. Covering his legs are soft, loose fitting leather breeches that are stitched down each hem with leather cord that has been tanned to a silvery white color. His feet a protected by simple soft leather moccasins. Slung across his back is a tightly packed rucksack behind which is the leather sheath of a thick bladed hand and a half sword. The handle gleams brightly like silver but is otherwise unadorned.

Karrus: Barbarian Trader:

Once upon a time Karrus was a Barbarian Prince, but it's a time in his life that he does not talk about anymore as he doesn't feel it is relavent to who and what he is now.  Now he wanders the 100 Kingdoms always looking for a good deal, and frequently working out favorable trades between other kingdoms, though so far these have been fairly small in scope and in impact.  He's a cunning and charismatic trader and has a nack of getting just what he wants while letting everyone walk away feeling like maybe they got the better of him in the deal.  His personal speciality seems to be rustic or what most would call 'barbarian' art.

Karrus: Changing Moon:

Though Karrus is discreet around humans he doesn't go to great lengths to surround himself with an air of mystery.  He's fairly honest about what he is if confronted.  He is one of Luna's choosen and his caste has been fixed as that ofthe Changing Moon.  He is also a very minor member of the Winding Path and is currently working on the crafting of his own Thousand Streams River project.  This project invovles crafting a community with a sofisiticated, modern economy that is based on barter wrather than coin.  It's something he can talk about with great passion to the point where he barely notices the eyes rolling in his direction.  The few Winding Path contemporaries that bother to converse with him pretty much universally agree it will never work.

Karrus: Keeper of Hope:

A few short months ago Karrus meet a young girl named Hope, who was choosen by the Unconquere Sun, and given the soul that his own had once been mate to in the first age.  The preternatural attraction he felt for was very strong and quickly drew them togeter, and Karrus cannot deny the comfort he takes from Hope whole heartedly accepting him.  That said, Karrus cannot help but wonder what tragedy meeting her will eventually lead too.  It's a different age, an age of sorrows.  The Lunars are changed from what they were in the age they first met, and the Changing Moons even more so.  Still something about her feels right, and she is anxious to travel and could make a valuable partner in building a better world to be steward over.
