Aseraph

Heroic Mortal, wannabe Kung Fu Wizard

 

Today

An anti hero who believes he is using his thaumaturgical abilities to save the Albiron from the encroachments of the Fair Folk and the Wyld.  Aseraph is not afraid to Shoot The Dog or engage in Dirty Business when he believes it will be for the Greater Good.  He has a hard time relating to individual plights (Compassion), yet always manager to keep his cool (Temperance).

 

Adult

Plucked from the local training grounds by Ulric to be his apprentice. As Ulric ages he needs to pass on the knowledge he has acquired to ensure Albiron's continued safety. Aseraph is meant to be the living receptable for that knowledge.

 

Youth

Aserapg grew up as The Rival to the temple's favored student. Always a step behind, Aseraph spent much of his time in Draus's shadow.

 

Childhood

Aseraph's parents died (Parental Abandonment) at an age which he was too young to remember, the victims of a Fair Folk raid.  He was taken in amongst the monk's of Albiron. He childhood consisted of keeping the temple's grounds and initiation into the martial arts.

 

Appearance

Aseraph seems to have a very Limited Wardrobe.  He is almost always found wearing his simple, utilitarian monk's robes with hand and sandal wraps.

 

 

Fighting Style

The one thing Aseraph will always have with himself is his body.  Many would consider him a Bare Fisted Monk.

Backing - The government of Albiron has empowered Aseraph to resolve relevant disputes when Ulric is not available.
Influence - Being the protege of a powerful mystic has many immaterial benefits.
Mentor - Ulric, Head Thaumaturge of Albiron (powerful but little time for Aseraph).
Resources - The Albiron government sees that Aseraph has what he needs to get his job done.

Locate a colony of essence spiders in the vicinity. Establish a pact of some kind with them to get essence silk.

 

Potential Plots

Any encounter involving Draus. Perhaps they need to team up against some threat or work together in some other arena. Draus should be the hero antagonist to Aseraph.

Oh noes, Albiron is all out of phlebotinum!

Any encounter involving the fair folk, the wyld, or any of it's agents.

The laying of wards (or use of alchemy) for self profit or for Albiron.
