This fellow is well below six feet, by about four inches, healthy and lithe. He bears a hunter's grace, and the world is his prey, by the way he holds himself. He bears sleek dark hair and bright blue eyes. His face, however, is quite average - he couldn't be called beautiful, or even handsome, an easily forgettable face.

Presently, he's dressed for success, in muted colors. A high collared dark blue silk shirt with fine silk pants, dyed black. Both are tailored carefully for minimal flapping about. Rather than flaunting wealth with gaudy trinkets, he dresses to exude confident power.

Five-Steps Illuminant is from Lookshy (he certainly looks, talks and walks like a native), and therefore should be in the Seventh Legion, but he claims to have an honorable discharge.  He presently wanders the Hundred Kingdoms on foot, selling extremely simple alchemical substances (soap, patent medicines, etc) for enough coins to make it to the next town or village, with no particular destination in mind.

Season of Water, Realm Year 772

Five-Steps Illuminant wandered around the Hundred Kingdoms, to and fro, meeting various people, such as Divine Justice of Heaven.  He righted what wrongs he was able, saving a town here, smiting a bandit gang there, until one day he met up with and began to work as The Boulder's sidekick! 

The Boulder and Illuminant, hearing of the slaughter committed by the misguided Set Qaan Ra, and set out to investigate.  Together with Divine Justice of Heaven, who was doing his own investigation, they fought and killed the errant Dawn Caste Solar and led local villages in mass funeral rites, preventing the rise of a shadowland in the town.

He visited Chronopolis, left behind by The Boulder as TB sought initiation into Sorcery by Clan-Clan.  While there, he was mindbent by Pleasing Sweet Viper into being her bodyguard.  He spent the majority of the season protecting her from imaginary assassins, until she left the city and him to his own devices.  Ordered by Viper to seek out Orduin for some gear, he helped convince the mighty Exalt to dismantle the city, and thus was there when the main manse was destroyed by Stilled Silence (he was helping to contain the damage caused by her army of Hungry Ghosts at the time).   After the destruction, he oversaw the evacuation, fighting off sky pirates led by the nefarious Peleps Kali.
