The Little Market

     A sea of brilliant stall-awnings and painted roofs covers this islet in the Nexus District, narrow paths between the stalls clotted with the men and women who trade here. Where the Big Market concerns itself with large shipments of bulk goods, the Little Market trades in the myriad particulars which people need for their daily lives... and a good many things for which there is no need whatsoever. A hundred tongues gabble in the reeking air, peddlers hawking their goods from sacks slung over their shoulders and jewel-crusted merchants swearing the potency of their rare drugs and medicines. As little as is forbidden in Nexus, the breadth of goods offered is such as only a Guildsman could fathom.

    Most merchants operate out of small booths set in crazed patterns on the isle. Others have the luxury of more sturdy roofs, and draw in customers by the elbow to consider the delicacy and quality of their wares. Everything from prepared food to prepared poisons can be had from one vendor or another, and the intricate devices that the Nighthammer merchants sell keep close company with bags of quinoa bark stripped from Great Forks plantations. Virtually anything that could be desired can be found at one of the kiosks here.
