     Mnemon Koal drives himself endlessly, letting the endurance of Pasiap support him. His first step is to reinterview some of the families about whether their loved ones were maybe at an impromptu celebration of the end of Deled's reign of terror the night before, or had maybe gathered at rallies the previous week. Koal uses the stone of surface thoughts to get the best impressions of their memories possible in order to aide with the investigation. He double checks with the spirits/ghosts that the people were not at some sort of festival together in their names as they would have received prayers from many of those people at once if that occurred. I reassure the spirits that my only intention is to try to solve these dreadful murders and that I am fully willing to have my memories of my contacts with them erased after the investigation is complete if they fear censor by the Immaculate Order. Koal's dedication to the cause is as unmoving as the Imperial Mountain. However, people are so relieved that Deled is gone overall, that they might not be too concerned, but spirits are odd. Finally, as a last resort, Koal will use the hearthstone from Kyrie to try to compile the memories of his troops from Deled's last week in himself to give a fluid tactical map of the movements of any recognized victims, especially but other people as well in case there are clues that he is missing. He will ask the aid of spirits in enhancing his troops memories to clarity as the interviews proceed. If it looks like Kyrie is taking too long to get back to him, he visits her to see why there is a delay in getting the records.

Ten Hollow Tongues pages: The information you acquire is little, which tells you much, because you know your methods were sound. There was no post-Deled party, only quiet sighs of acceptance. There was no festival, there was no prayers to the gods beyond murmurs before sleeping. The stone does not aid in forcing people to remember, but what they do remember you can gather, and draw up a map. Placing each individual on it takes some time, but your commitment overrides this, and at the end you are left with a full map of comings and goings and the like. And you find - nothing in the last week. Nothing at all. Separate ways, normal routes, nothing out of the ordinary. Many /were/ all together, you find, little more than a week ago. At a council meeting, at which edicts were proposed. Before that, there is little - there was no threat, nor coordinated troop movements.

     Back in the Resplendent Palace of Healing..Philipe is hurried, white-of-face, and out of breath. "It's poison! Poison!" He tries to grab you and swerve you away from the bodies, hurriedly whispering. "It can be spread by touch, doesn't even need to be rubbed, just the lightest of touches will absorb it into the skin, wouldn't leave a damn trace for more than a day. It can last.. it can.. be latent, waiting, for days. I.. I think longer. A week maybe. I'm not sure. Even more perhaps, it's horrible. When it strikes, it does so slowly, builds up, and kills a person, wouldn't even wake up. Shuts down the damn pain receptors, body doesn't know what's killing it until it's too late. It's untraceable, undetectable to the system, and it evaporates after it's finished in the air. By god, this stuff is deadly. Those golden frogs you hear of, in the far East? Can't hold a candle to it. It's, it's dreadful. This thing, even if it /had/ been injected, after five days? Six? We wouldn't have a thing to go on. It could have been drank, injected, even rubbed the wrong way, and after three days? Four? We can't tell from the bodies." His hands shake as if he's seen a ghost.

 

        Upon finding out the news from Philipe, Kyrie eases on up, her eyes widening. She chews on her bottom lip and hrmms for a few moments as she runs her fingers through her hair. "Undetectable? There has to be something that will work as an antidote. And the archives..I've been looking, but that can wait, momentarily. Let us try to make something that will work to detect it. There has to be an antibody that will bind to the poison. Then we can develop an antidote.."

     Mnemon Koal is perplexed, brow wrinkling in consternation like canyons dotting the northern plains. Was there any common drug or product they may have been consuming or come into contact with in their households, any common vices such as prostitution, or similar work places...so many people across class lines were affected, all at once. It seems the council meeting would have had to be the spot for poison, but how was the anti-Deled fashion affected in this waythe stone man freezes in terror, a shivering avalanche working its way up his spine. Kyrie was at that council? Poison takes longer to affect exalts, right?...He doesn't know, he failed that test in school. Wind-carried words,"Kyrie, the blooded that opposed Deled at a council meeting about a week before Deled left may still be in dangerpossibly including yourself. Please consider emergency options if you can't find an antidote in time. Of course he rides over to the Palace of Healing after saying that.

         Kyrie and Philipe are still searching in the archives when she receives the wind carried words. She hrmms for a few moments and runs her fingers through her hair as the two have succeeded in brewing an antidote. Of course, this combined with her rod of the cleansing body, and her own sorcerous knowledge about purifying all poisons, natural and supernatural have come in handy. But, until she knows that Koal is there, she'll work with her effective second in command, though an orderly will tell Koal where she is.

    Mnemon Koal bursts in panting, his posture weary. It seems that the winds and rains can wear away the mountain if it doesn't get a chance to rest on its foundations. "Kyrie, the people were all together at a council. If they were all poisoned at once that was the place to do it. Have you had any success, I hope we weren't too late to stop another disaster."...a look of guilt is evident on his face as if he holds himself personally acountable.

 

         "The poison that did all this is definitely not known in any of the archives I have found so far. However, we were able to analyze its chemical structure, and Philipe and I were able to make an antidote." Kyrie admits ruefully, looking a bit worried as she hrmms for a few moments. "You said I would be targeted, why?"

Mnemon Koal breathes a sigh of relief at hearing of the antidote, and takes a moment to calm himself. "What I meant was that I didn't know if poison took longer to work on the blooded than mortals or the specific list of the blooded opposing Deled at the council meeting. I'm sorry if I worried you,..I only know how to staunch flesh wounds, so maybe I have things wrong.

 

         "Yes, but the most dangerous thing about this poison is that there's no effect in the body for quite some time. Who knows, even I might have it now.." Kyrie says in a worried fashion as she hrmms for a few moments and looks over to Philipe. "Please, draw some blood, and let's do some tests. Let's try to figure out if there's any commonalities.."
