Players: Aizura and Quicksilver Dreamer

It's a rather unusual sight to see a short woman riding a jaguar along one of the many roads that crisscrosses the Hundred Kingdoms, but unusual sights are not... well... unusual there either. Most of the people that Aizura passes as she travel look at her oddly and give her a bit of distance, perhaps in case she might be one of those strange Fair Folk with her pointed ears, but otherwise don't go running in terror or anything of the sort, and she mostly seems to ignore them. As the day starts to come to a close, however, she and her mount leave the road and stop to set up camp near a copse of trees a short distance away, and it's there that she now finds herself seated beside a campire, leaning back against the jaguar that is her companion, like he's a giant pillow.

Sleeping in a nearby tree sleeping after a long day of mischief, Quicksilver Dreamer wakes up to the smell of a fire and stretches. His short silver hair looks like he tried to cut it himself, and likely did. Bringing one of his gauntlets made of a strange metal up to scratch his head, a look of confusion by the look of the woman he sees below him. He decides to get in alittle closer by moving up farther on a branch, but it cracks slightly and he falls off and lands upside down, his head looking up at the woman.

Aizura jumps up when Quicksilver Dreamer falls out of the tree above her, and her spear is in her hands in a flash. When she realizes that it's not someone or something attacking her -- or, at least, it doesn't SEEM to be -- she relaxes. (Hello,) she says in Old Realm. (Welcome to my camp. My apologies if I intrude, for I didn't realize that anybody was living in the trees.)

A look of confusion comes across his face, as he tries to figure out if she is speaking a different language or if he just hit his head a bit too hard. He gets up and replies in Riverspeak, "I am sorry, I don't understand what it is you are trying to say."

Aizura frowns slightly, then nods. "Aizura apologizes. The Tongue is her native speaking, and understanding only small is speaking of rivers. Saying was Aizura that sorry for..." she stops to think of the word. "for come in area without for asking? Did not know trees lived with people in." Her Riverspeak is, quite clearly, not very fluent in the least. She sits back down and leans against the jaguar, who seems to have slept through all of this. "To be joining Aizura at camp are you?"

Quicksilver Dreamer sits down on the ground and smiles back, "Oh, it is alright, I don't own this small area. I was just taking a small nap." Looking curious now, "You must be from far away, I have never seen anyone like you before. Oh, and most the people around here call me Quicksilver Dreamer."

Aizura grins and says, "Sanctum many Calibrations away, came Aizura from. Father is Baomaru, Lord of Weaves, and created small for needing less of eating and care." She bows her head and adds, "Met well, Quicksilver Dreamer," and though she says his name with a heavy accent she seems focused on it, like she's trying to get it right and to commit the name to memory. "Where comes new friend from?"

Quicksilver Dreamer bringing one of his extremely polished gauntlets up to grab behind his neck. "I came from a small village about a lunar cycle away, but I fled from there and came to the Hundred Kingdoms." A huge smile forms on his face, "Why are so far from home Aizura? It sounds like you travelled really far out here."

Aizura replies in a matter-of-fact tone, "exiled from father's Court, for the loving of a man. Falls into the love was forbidden of Aizura." She smiles a little whistfully and says, "Now, looking for man of love is road that is followed. Perhaps Quicksilver Dreamer is seeing? With hair of brown, and eyes of green, and being just few inches bigger than you he is."

Quicksilver Dreamer thinks for a bit, "Hmmm.. there are alot of people who look like that." Tries to think of a way to narrow it down. "Well, do you know his name? And why do you think he is out here?"

Aizura frowns. "As many say to Aizura, so does her new friend. Knowing his name I am unable to, for speaking of rivers was not known and man I love speaks not the Tongue. West of Court where Aizura hopes to find him because East of Court becomes Wyld, and Aizura fears to look."

A sympathetic look crosses Quicksilver's face upon hearing this. "That is a sad tale. Maybe I can help you look for him. How long has it been since you started searching for him?"

Aizura smiles widely. "New friend of Aizura's would help?" she asks. "Five Calibrations since Aizura was exiled have passed. Most were in master's teaching or in Eastern woods looking for finding of people. Greyfalls searching Aizura began already, but many people to look at are within."

Quicksilver Dreamer smiles back at her. "Well, it isn't in my nature to let someone search all by themselves. Plus," pausing for a second before continuing. "You... seem different to me than most the people I come across. Very few people seem to like me in this region. I guess I have built up a bad reputation or something. So it will be nice to leave for awhile."

Aizura frowns. "Why not liking you are they?" she asks. "Glad of company Aizura truly is, but also of confusions in mind. As for differentedness, Aizura is of less bigs than most but not so different in her heart, I say."

You say, "Well, you see, the reason I fled my village was there was this strange man in red armor. He attacked my father and me and my mother fled the village. We ran for a long time and one day we stopped at this inn to rest." The sadness is almost painted on his face at this point. "I was up in the room and I heard screaming and I saw the man down there choking my mom. I heard a crack noise and he threw her aside. I ran down and yelled for her, but she was already dead." Anger slightly in his eyes, "The man ran at me with a large sword, but I threw a bunch of sand at his face and I don't know why or how I knew what would happen, but the sand all turned into large blades and killed him. After that, a bunch of people called me horrible things and I guess most everyone still calls me them."

Aizura tries to follow the story, with her poor Riverspeak, and concentration furrows her brow. "Aizura is not making the understandment," she says. "Sand is... like small rocks, yes? And sword is weapon with edge, very bigger than sands? Understand of how the sands become the swords is failing."

Quicksilver Dreamer scratches the back of his head, "Well, it is hard to explain. It is like I have the power to change things into things they are not. Like..." Thinking for a second, "Here, let me show you!" Pouring a handful of water from his small flask into his hand, he spins around quickly. As he does so, he throws the water around the himself and Aizura. The water then forms a large, 10' radius globe of water around them. Surprisingly enough, Aizura finds she can breathe and talk inside the globe of water.

Aizura blinks and looks around her at the water. The jaguar that had been sleeping behind her, however, takes this far less calmly. He leaps up and bolts out of sphere, then stops and crouches down and starts to growl at it.

Quicksilver Dreamer chuckles, "Whoops, sorry about that kitty!" Quicksilver still smiling says, "See what I mean? I don't know how I am capable of doing any of this, only that when I see something it is like... Like I see what it could be rather than what it is."

They continued to chat for the remainder of the evening and into the night and possibly for one of the first times in his entire life, Quicksilver Dreamer had found someone whom he could talk to who was not afraid of what he could do.
