Log:-Reforging-The-Blades

Page history last edited by Richard Hughes 15 years, 3 months ago

PCs: Roaring Sonata

Runner: Cynis Chu (1 xp)

Synopsis: Hearing of the tragedy of the Barony of the Dozen Blades, Sonata sets out to fix them. Only, he finds a lot more and a new task.

Notes: Conducted via page.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Yo, got a moment? I wanted to look into repairing the Barony's swords.'

Cynis Chu pages: Sprechen :)

Long distance to Cynis Chu: Roaring Sonata pokes?

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Ah. Drat. Missed your reply.'.

Cynis Chu pages: Sokay :)

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Well, Kukla already mentioned my Mentor won't be of much help so... that leaves me using Backing and turning to the People of the Air as well as the Silver Pact. I'd have to probably implore on keeping the traditions going and not letting a spiteful barbarian ruin it, I imagine... so... you want to plot it or UCRT it?'.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'And I know there's a spell or they can be reforged possibly.'.

From afar, Cynis Chu hmms.

From afar, Cynis Chu hms.

Cynis Chu pages: Well.

Cynis Chu pages: Proper URCT:

Cynis Chu pages: What'll you risk?

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Eh. Depends upon how I go about it right now... umm... let's see... People of the Air I'm not sure what to risk on. Silver Pact and such might be an easier way. I'll go with risking some of my Backing (Sun-Kings). It's at 2 right now, so... up to you how far it goes down for a couple months 'til I get back in their good graces?'.

From afar, Cynis Chu hmms.

Cynis Chu pages: Electrum Shadows, a No Moon Seneschal, would like to know what relationships the Barony has to the Solars and/or why they should care. And why you care.

Long distance to Cynis Chu: Roaring Sonata hrms. Stunting this I hope... one moment.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'They bear none as of yet to the Solars other than the civil war might bleed over to a returning Solar's kingdom. My bond mate, Blithe Lark Spirit, is neighbor to the Barony with her new settlement from her people. As far as I know, stopping the potential civil war is the only relation unless there is some history involved which I have no knowledge of. I care myself because it is a loss of tradition. A loss of ways much as the lost Castes are to us. Losing such heritage would be a sad thing indeed. My caring about it is that the people had a way of doing things. They were proud warriors that would make any Steward proud to have founded the society in which they live if the tales I have heard are true. Besides, it is a society who's spirit may have been broken by such an act. Renewing that spirit and putting the responsibility for it on either ourselves or Blithe Lark Spirit may gain us new allies and new resources with which to use."'.

Cynis Chu pages: Electrum Shadows is somewhat swayed, but counters with 'Perhaps, but tradition- blindly followed -is as dangerous as the Wyld itself. It would be far better for the society to learn from the incident and grow, not to feel shackled to the past. New leaders and strong to emerge from the fires, not venal and base ones clutching at swords as if they gave some pretence of real command.

Long distance to Cynis Chu: Roaring Sonata hmms and counters: 'You may be right, but is not tradition an important part of history? And, in a way, with the actions that have been taken they have grown. They are more careful now, I would think. I also propose this if you will. Find a way to test them. Add to the tradition rather than destroy it. I recall that some beastmen near my mate's people have a dead Lunar's weapon imbedded in stone. A massive weapon that I hold no way of moving. Perhaps we can use the idea ourselves? If it is in your abilities, craft a stone for each blade that we can place in the Barony's castles. Use the stones as a test for leadership somehow.

Cynis Chu pages: If you will handle the tests of leadership- stones, lakes, what have you -and send the people after them, then I will repair the blades.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'I can only try. I am not as wise as you are. My ways are those of the tongue and the Changing Moon, not those of wisdom.'.

Cynis Chu pages: You underestimate yourself. A true trick teaches more than any tome.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'True. I thank you, then. Do I need to bring you anything for the blades to be reforged?'.

Cynis Chu pages: Not at all. They will be delievered to Eagle Hill in two weeks time.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Thank you.'.

Cynis Chu pages: OOC- Wouldya ping that to the wiki? :)

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with '... log, recent history, or both?'.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'On a side note, does she/he do anything to the blades other than reforge? Make them artifacts or anything?'.

From afar, Cynis Chu nopes.

Cynis Chu pages: She uses Incantation of Effacious Restoration a bunch of times.

Cynis Chu pages: It takes her like, twenty minutes.

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'K. Cool.'.

Cynis Chu pages: And now you owe her a favor :)

Roaring Sonata paged Cynis Chu with 'Figured as much.'.
