House Rules: Manse Features

We largely use the rules for special manse features as defined in Oadenol's Codex, with the following tweaks:

 

MAINTENANCE

This drawback is generally allowed, with the understanding that the ST's have full discretion as to whether your character's resources can ensure the maintenance requirements are met.

 

Specific Powers

One Point Powers

  • All one-point powers from Oadenol's Codex are permitted.
  • Of the powers from Dreams of the First Age,
    • Exotic Aspect is not permitted.
    • Geomantic Nexus and Geomantic Relay are permitted.
    • Living Manse is permitted. Though by itself it is worthless, it is useful as a requirement for certain advanced features.

Two Point Powers

  • All two-point powers from Oadenol's Codex are permitted.
  • Of the powers from Dreams of the First Age,
    • Host-Binding Circle is not permitted.
    • Immutable is permitted.
    • Master's Workshop Manse is permitted.
    • Self-Stabilizing is permitted.

Three Point Powers

  • All three-point powers from Oadenol's Codex are permitted.
  • Of the powers from Dreams of the First Age,
    • Dynamic Architecture is not permitted.
    • Floating is permitted.
    • Integrated Utility Artifacts are permitted.
    • Life-Sustaining manses only have anagathic and boosted immunity benefits, not the healing benefit.
    • Regeneration is permitted.

Four Point Powers

  • All four-point powers from Oadenol's Codex are permitted.
  • Of the powers from Dreams of the First Age,
    • Atelier Manse is not used, instead using the Oadenol's version.
    • Consecrated is not permitted.
    • Essence Shield is permitted.
    • Extended Zone of Influence is not permitted.
    • Guardian Force is not permitted.
    • Mobile is not permitted.
    • Ultra-Deadly Perimeter Defenses is not permitted.

Five Point Powers

  • All five-point powers from Oadenol's Codex are permitted.
  • Of the powers from Dreams of the First Age,
    • A lesser version of Factory Cathedral (Expanded) is permitted.  Creating artifacts in batches moves at the pace of the most gifted crafter, and produce up to Magnitude (5-Artifact Rating) artifacts per batch.
    • Gate of Auspicious Passage is permitted.
    • Genesis Laboratory is permitted.
    • Infernal Oracle is not permitted.
    • Synergistic Overmind is permitted.

 

Manses and Crafting

A Manse which possesses both a Workshop (or Atelier-Manse of Cathedral Factory) and Ability Enlightenment in Lore, Occult and an appropriate Craft provides a +1 (as a Supernatural Aide).  This +1 success doesn't count against the maximum number of Supernatural Aides who can collaborate on an Artifact. A manse without a workshop can still serve as an Aide, but doesn't gain the benefit of not counting against the maximum. 

 

The Ability Enlightenment feature may be purchased again, as a 5pt Feature (Solar, Air Favored), known as 'Supreme Enlightenment'. Supreme Enlightenment deepens the knowledge and ability of the Manse. It automatically is granted 8 successes on rolls with all of it's Enlightened Abilities, and adds +4 successes (as a Second Circle demon), without counting against the maximum number of such potent assistants.  A Manse without a workshop but with Supreme Enlightenment can still serve as a Second Circle Aide, but counts against the maximum number of such as normal.
