Greyfalls Reconstruction Project

Page history last edited by Koal 14 years, 7 months ago

Ideas for Greyfalls stuff.  Players and ST's welcome to give their thoughts and pertinent alterations.

Emergencies:
  • (still in progress) Evil Sands --- Patches of Sorcerous sand have manifested in the Greyfalls Province.  Sesus Ormi has warded them off mystical thorns to prevent their spread.
  •  (mystery never solved) The Death of Foggy Town!!! --- The people of this township were found killed of vile magics and their leaders brutally murdered.

Greyfalls Agenda:

War Cleanup:

  • Consolidating Solace’s Power.  As military and financial leaders, Koal and Ayesha publicly acknowledge Solace’s inheritance of the province from the Kilandros demon and willingness to work with him for a prosperous future.
  • Mysterious Soul-Sucking Statues.  They have been quarantined while Ormi tries to piece together their mysteries.  Living victims are cared for and examined at the Palace of Healing to try to discover any clues.  Depending on the number, they might also be stationed in Housing nearby or given some meaningful manual labor to keep them active if it’s decided that might help.
    • Sesus Ormi has resolved the mystery of the statues conclusively - they were enslaved raksha sold to the Guild as pacification weapons, and from there, sold to Goerring's faction. Their nature as soul-consumming automatons was irrevocable and he has destroyed them. Log: Black Statues Part 2

  • Peace to the Fallen.  Neref, Ormi, and Koal handle putting the souls of the fallen to rest and giving proper rights to the dead as best they can.  Unruly ghosts will be put down in proper order with help from the Immaculates such as Tepet Kalaya, Sister Cloud Hands, and the visiting Vartebed of Trakar, Cathak Nerus.  It may be necessary to institute a memorial area listing summaries of events in Greyfalls history and honoring  the fallen in Greyfalls various conflicts, creating a solid representation of the shared history of the place.
  • Legal Justice.  Various sundry and criminal activities as well as seizures and allotments of goods and property have occurred through out Greyfalls.  It will take decided effort by Solace and Ayesha to iron things out.  Koal’s work projects will be used to distract people in the mean time, with festivities planned to celebrate shared achievements, releasing pent up pressure from the more confusing issues. Ayesha and Solace renegotiate the land and business contracts between the refugee owners that fled and the Pearl people that moved in with the ships from the Isle.  The demographics of the region has to be redefined and updated to a more current status. The Greyfalls farmland was already consolidated into Cathak hands, and should be updated with modern techniques for an independent food supply after the legal issues have been settled.  It is revealed that land holding were placed in Ledaal Kyrie's name, ending the legal issues over property rights as agreements are made on redistribution of assets.
  • Prisoner Exchange.  Negotiations will be held between the families of the various Civil War factions to see what methods of prisoner exchange might be feasible as all sides have suffered both casualties and effective POWs.
  • Hidden Dangers.  Nobody has seen fit to track down the origin of Demon-Kilandros and his hellish associates.  Were cults started in the scattered reaches of the Greyfalls province?  Are deceptive demons hidden among the populace?  Obviously, someone like the visiting Cathak Nerus and friends should lead an investigation.
  • Unfinished Business.  Although the Fae War seems distant now, it was less than two years previous and some things remain undone.  Mysterious tribes of beastmen remain wandering the vast stretches of Greyfalls wilderness.  Some rumors claim they've found a leader as twisted as themselves, but no one knows for sure as they live /really/ far out from the civilized regions.  Sister Cloud Hands retains her policy of kill on sight for these Wyld-tainted beasts.
  • Unsolved Mysteries. 1. A village in west of Greyfalls province has developed low-level Wyld taints in every single member.  Ledaal Kyrie had quarantined the village by emergency order, but is away in the South and the natives are getting restless. The source of these taints was never discovered. 2. In the far north of Greyfalls province, many isolated homesteads are being abandoned and farmers calling for aide as they head to Greyfalls city destitute with claims of some foul supernatural force doing horrible things to mutilate their livestock and produce.  Whether the administration will bother with problems from people who settled so far out from the civilized zone is questionable.  However, any trade road with Calhar would have to pass through this region...rail from Chronopolis might face similar problems.

Future Foundations:

  • Ledaal Solace and Ragara Ayesha join forces to make new allies while cementing a deal for skydock facilities in Great Forks...an alliance with the Ledaal Cataala sorcerers. House of Wizards
  • Ragara Ayesha continues expanding her trade networks in  the Mountain Folk city of Lutar. Only the House of Gems and Chronopolis match her economic influence in the East as she bids for Dynastic Leadership of her broken House.
  • A Cousin's Betrayal Koal and Solace continue to negotiate with Calhar, with the admitted expectation that Karashi trusts no one, although Koal is probably given access for conversation and training while Karashi assesses his loyalty and how to handle the situation. Wepat resolves this situation by joining the Red Legions and revealing Koal's betrayal of family values.  Koal is seized an held under House arrest for a time to clear things up.   Calhar Greets Wepat with Open Fists
  • Mnemon Koal manages to convince Mnemon Karashi not to invade Greyfalls anytime soon.
  • Mnemon Koal encourages good will with Lookshy by helping them locate strategic artifacts in Denansor.
  • Solace, Ayesha, Ormi, and Koal redue Greyfalls logistics to undue the sprawl effect of the Nellens era and bring squatters and key facilities within the main walls.  This includes the Imperial Bank, Palace of Healing, Guild/Caravan office, and a palace for each of the Houses if they aren’t already there or need to be moved from across the Canal.  The two story tenements in the poorer sections of town need to be upgraded to apartment blocks with small public parks in the center, the financial details with owners to be negotiated by Solace and Ayesha.  For the immediate, one section of apartment buildings will be put in place as a team exercise to build solidarity between the legions.
  • Enlightening the Masses Visiting Vartebed Cathak Nerus give sermons to the combined legions in Greyfalls preaching the spiritual unity and brotherhood/sisterhood of the Dragon-blooded above and beyond the concepts of Houses. For exerpts of the speeches look here...Nerus Helps Unify the Dragons
  • Learning to Make a Stand Koal, Solace, and Ayesha will attempt to convince Solace to declare Greyfalls as a neutral party in the War, willing to accept and integrate refugees who agree to contribute to society. Learning to Make a Stand
  • Ayesha and Solace continue working with Saltwater Vale and Redsky.  Koal possibly remarries the Queen and checks for pregnancy results with her even though they only  get weekends together or such, we’ll see.
  • Cost analysis should be done on the warding system in Greyfalls as it is still gaping wide open…this is partly due to the sprawl effect.
  • With prayers to the Dragons, Gaia, and the City God of Greyfalls, Mnemon Koal begins writing a documentary/philosophical work titled "Brother, My Brother" focussing on the events of the Deled period in Greyfalls and the Civil War and calling for the Blooded to treat each other with the dignity and respect that every Dragon-blooded deserves as part of a spiritual family that surpasses the concept of Houses.  There are no shortage of members of the Immaculate Order contributing to this work, leading some to think that Koal is being used as a pawn by  Sister Cloud Hands.
