North Gate
A sturdy road of Realm manufacture stretches out to the north, cobbled firmly and sound beneath the tramp of countless feet. A steady flow of trade runs along the byway, tribesmen and villagers and farmers all carting their wares to Greyfalls and the great markets within. Patrolmen keep a steady march along the roads, watchful of the precious trade that is the lifeblood of the city- but even the most watchful eye cannot remove all peril from this distant land beneath the Eastern eaves.
Farmland has been cut from the Eastern forest, and meadows and glades spot the greenery with their flowered emptiness. To the west, narrow trails keep to the shadow of the city walls as they wind up the hillsides towards the splashing beauty of the Grey Falls themselves. Small clusters of wooden buildings cling near the gate itself, spreading out along the road a little way. The land is far cheaper than any within the walls, but there are different costs to be paid for such boldness even in the Realm's portion of the East.
