Indeed. Why not go with something like Liege, from Abyssals- the Yozis can grant powerful Artifacts, but they do so in exchange for devouted labor and they can be snatched away.
I didn't want to copy the idea of Liege because it didn't seem likely the Yozis would grant Spies, Manse and Resources, but I like the idea that the doubled Artifact background could also contain a 'Yozi-bitch' component a la liege.
The Yozis providing Cults, Backing (Yozi Cults) and Resources (a la Liege) would also be very thematic. The former cause, well, cthulu cults do what Cthulu says. The last because it's so goddamn common for people to sell their souls for money.
I don't know, money seems kind of low stakes for souls in the Exalted world. Selling your soul for artifacts, or forbidden knowledge, sure, but I just can't imagine some guy saying 'I'll give my eternal soul to the Yozis for twenty bucks.'
$20 is a bit low- Resources 4 or 5, however, I can see even some Exalts (especially younger ones that have yet to really grok just how badass they are) going for. Especially with a slick line of banter to wash it down.

I dislike the concept of Infernals getting the same artifact background as the DBs, especially since the Yozi are fickle in the extreme.
